How you can help

At ASIOX, our volunteers play a vital role in the work we deliver. We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities for those who are passionate about raising awareness of the important issue of Modern Slavery and providing support to survivors. Whether you can commit to weekly, monthly or just ‘now and then’, we would love to hear from you!

BECOME A BEFRIENDER

ASIOX Befriending. Where hopeful strangers become friends.

We have recently launched a Befriending scheme. This programme aims to provide an extra layer of support to survivors of human trafficking and modern day slavery by coming alongside them as a friend. Our goal through this programme is to help reduce the sense of isolation these individuals often experience and to help them better integrate into society. In our efforts, we are driven by a desire for survivors to feel seen and accepted for who they are, to see their value and dignity restored and to have a renewed hope for their future.

  • Could you spare 1-2 hours per week to come alongside a survivor as a friend?

  • We connect clients with befrienders based on geography, interests, skills and past experiences.

  • Training and support are provided throughout.

GENERAL VOLUNTEERING

  • We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic and reliable people to help support with our events, fundraising, campaigning, office work, digital media and all manner of other things.

  • Or perhaps you have a particular area of expertise/ special skill that you feel could benefit our work?

  • Volunteering with us is also a chance to get hands on experience of the not-for-profit sector. 

FUNDRAISE

  • We are so encouraged by people who are keen to fundraise on our behalf. 

  • Perhaps you’d like to do a skydive, run a marathon or hold a bake sale to raise money for the important work we do. Whatever it is, we'd love to hear from you!
